Vision Statement
Continuing to let my “life do the singing”, I carried my active engagement with alumni affairs from college with the Pre-Alumni Council through to the Washington, DC alumni chapter. My alumni involvement has centered on active engagement for alumni of all ages but especially our Emeritus Class members. I believe that our Emeritus Class Members are our treasured alumni and we must learn from them and carry on the rich legacy on which they have given us. We can carry out this mission in three steps—EDUCATE, ENGAGE and ENERGIZE.

Hamptonians must continue to be brand ambassadors for our school and represent Hampton in all that we do. We must Educate our alumni on what it means to be actively engaged. We must Engage our alumni to understand how the alumni association can be of benefit to them. We must Energize our alumni to be active participants on the local and national level. With these three ingredients we are destined to be successful in alumni involvement.

Can we count on you to be in that number and ready to serve when called? We are counting and depending on you. Our success depends on you!
