NHAA Inc. Endowed Scholarships
The National Student Recruitment Team has been working diligently to bring in the next cohort of Endowed Scholars. This year we received over 70 applications from entering freshmen from across the country. Working collaboratively with the Office of Alumni Affairs, we have confirmed scholars from the following regions:
Adiva Carroll- Midwest Region Scholar
Victoria Flecther- Southwest Region Scholar
Cagney Johnson- Far West Region Scholar
Thomas Curry- Middle Atlantic Region Scholar
Khayla Daniel- North Carolina Region Scholar
Ariane Owens- Southeast Region Scholar
Congratulations to the scholars and a special thank you to the regional presidents, Office of Alumni Affairs, and Financial Aid Office for assisting us during the selection process.
NHAA Inc. National Book Award
NHAA Inc. now has a National Book Award for continuing students in need of book assistance. This is an emergency application and students can only be awarded $300.00 once per academic year. The requirements are listed below:
A complete application packet includes the following items:
Complete and typed application (See page B-1 at the end of this newsletter.)
Copy of fall/spring semester schedule
Typed Statement of Need
Unofficial undergraduate transcript
Official copy of semester bill (Business Office)
Official Financial Aid Award Letter
Copy of Driver’s license/state ID and valid Hampton student ID
NHAA Inc. & Student Recruitment
The National Hampton Alumni Association, Inc. assists the university with recruitment and supporting current students by mentoring and providing scholarships. Additionally, NHAA Inc. chapters and regions hosts On-Site Admissions and Information events where high school seniors can receive an immediate admissions decision and are automatically considered for merit scholarships, if eligible. Middle and high school students, parents, and counselors are welcome to attend these information sessions.
